1. Who We Are

CoachSite ("we," "us," or "our") operates the CoachSite platform at coachsite.io. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following information when you use CoachSite:

• Name, email address, phone number, and ZIP code
• Date of birth (used to determine if a guardian signature is required)
• Skill level (provided by you or your coach)
• Enrollment history and lesson credits
• Guardian name, phone, and email (for students under 18)
• Email engagement data (delivery, opens) via SendGrid

We do not store credit card numbers or payment credentials. All payment data is handled directly by Stripe.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To process your enrollment and manage your account
• To send transactional emails (confirmations, cancellations, reminders)
• To send marketing emails from your coach, if you have opted in
• To issue and track lesson credits
• To allow your coach to manage their student roster

4. Data Shared With Coaches

When you enroll with a coach through CoachSite, your name, email, phone, skill level, and enrollment history are visible to that coach. Coaches use this information to manage their classes and communicate with you. Each coach's student data is isolated — coaches cannot see other coaches' students.

5. Third-Party Services

• Stripe — processes all payments. Stripe's privacy policy governs how your payment data is handled.
• SendGrid — delivers emails on our behalf. SendGrid may track delivery and open events.
• Clerk — manages authentication and sign-in.

We do not sell your data to any third party.

6. Marketing Emails

We only send marketing emails (class announcements, special offers) from your coach if you have explicitly opted in. You can opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by updating your preferences in your student dashboard. Opting out does not affect transactional emails related to your enrollments.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and enrollment data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations to retain records.

8. Children's Privacy

Students under 18 may only be enrolled by a parent or legal guardian. We collect the guardian's contact information for this purpose. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

9. Your Rights

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. If changes are material, we will notify you through the platform. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last updated.
